The 2012–13 season was the 29th season in the North West Counties Football League played by Nelson F.C., an English football club based in Nelson, Lancashire. It was their second consecutive season in North West Counties Football League First Division since the club re-entered the league in 2011. The season covers the period from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013. Nelson finished in 10th position in the North West Counties Football League First Division. They also reached the second qualifying round of the FA Vase and the first round of the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy. They started the season under the leadership of Robert Grimes and Michael Morrison as joint player-managers following the departure of Paul Paynter. This was the pairs first venture into management having played for NWCFL Premier Division champions Ramsbottom United in the previous campaign. In October 2012, Nelson parted company with the duo after a spell of poor form. The club coach, Shadab Iftikhar, was appointed as caretaker manager. In November 2012, Nelson appointed Mark Fell of West Lancashire Football League side Whinney Hill as the new first team manager. ==Match results==
